From Our Director
Hello, my name is Michelle Hopwood. I am the Director at Oaks Trail Academy in Rowlett. I have two wonderful daughters and two grandsons that are the apple of my eye! I’ve had the privilege of being a foster parent for the state of Texas and youth pastor for RWC church. Having been in the childcare industry for over thirty years I bring experience as well as a commitment to early childhood education. I started as an assistant teacher for toddlers, and then I began my journey as the lead schooler teacher, promoted to the assistant director. I became a licensed director in 2000. I furthered my education in Business Management/Early Childhood Education. There is a strong sense of family here at Oaks Trail Academy. We take pride in the fact that we know our parents and children on a personal level. Our staff knows that your child’s future is important to you. It is our goal that our parents leave here with a peace of mind knowing that their child is loved and cared for everyday by our professional staff. I look forward to the opportunity to make your family apart of the OTA family.

Oaks Trail Academy is a ministry of Restoration Worship Centre Church. It was birthed from a deep passion God has given us for children. Our staff at Oaks Trail Academy strive to build a positive foundation through modeling Christ like character traits in all our activities and through giving unconditional love and acceptance. We know children become secure and happy in a loving environment.
At every age level we have set high standards for quality curriculum. We are very proud of our PreK class which has consistently tested high in Kindergarten preparedness!
We know as a parent it is a very difficult decision to choose a preschool for your child. We would like to invite you to visit Oaks Trail Academy. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
